The client's property he was wanting to buy was located in Inyokern, which is in the middle of the desert, and was the property he had been looking for for years. During the transaction the client had been given a pre- qualification letter that later on was revoked by the lender after already getting an offer accepted and being in escrow for a couple weeks. Tom didn't understand how a lender could let a client get this far into a transaction and had not done their due diligence prior to issuing the pre-qualification letter. At this point the sale fell out of escrow but Tom was determined to help his client get through this minor bump in the road and pave a way to his clients dream property. After vetting several more lenders Tom finally was able to get his client qualified through a different lender and the property back in escrow for his client. While the commission for Tom for this job was little to none and the work that was needed to be completed was at the highest level, Tom did not give up. He spent many countless nights walking his client through the process and assuring him that everything would be ok. At one point the client asked Tom, "Why do you continue to assist me considering there isn't much in it financially for you Tom?" Tom replied, "because every client deserves the same amount of assistance and support regardless of the pay and the bottom line is that every transaction should be measured by the clients happiness and not the size of the paycheck." This transaction took over 3 months to complete but ended in a win for Tom's client and Tom as they accomplished what some said could not be done.
