About Barbie When she's not busy landing deals for her clients, you can find Barbie hanging out with her family, enjoying a perfect beach day, playing cards and games with her neighbors, or reading a good book. Poolside, with 80's rock music and a cold beverage is how Barbie unwinds after a long week working hard for her clients. Barbie is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their real estate goals. Barbie was raised in Minneapolis with 3 siblings. She was taught from a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what she did. And she worked hard. (But that’s not to say she didn’t have fun along the way.) Barbie got into the real estate industry 30 years ago when she was still in college. Her first real job was with Prudential Home Mortgage and she worked alongside Mortgage Brokers who worked directly with Real Estate Agents. Over the years Barbie learned all facets of the financial side of the real estate transaction. She eventually became certified as a mortgage underwriter, & earned her Series 6 for investment purposes to better serve her clients. Barbie ran her own Mortgage Brokerage Company for 7 years before moving to Denver, CO and getting back into Mortgage Banking with Chase Bank. After an unexpected move to Punta Gorda, FL, Barbie decided to jump the fence and work directly with clients on selling their existing property & finding the perfect home as a Real Estate Agent. As her career advanced, Barbie found her stride working with buyers from other states looking to Winter in sunny Southwest Florida. Her focused territory is Sarasota down to Naples.
