About Melody When Melody got started in Real Estate, she was leaving the safety net of corporate America behind after more than 20 years in the call center industry. Because she did not have a safety net, there was not a property that Melody would not show. Which led to many crazy adventures early on in her career including getting locked inside the tack room of a barn because of a broken door handle. Needless to say both Melody and her client had to jump from a window more than 6 feet from the ground; Melody in a dress and heels. Luckily no one was hurt. But these challenging homes always taught the best lessons and always provide great stories for future clients. This story perfectly sums up the kind of agent Melody is, and the type of agent she continuously strives to be for her clients. Today, she still takes on the challenges and has not yet met a property she wouldn't tour. Melody was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what she did. And she worked hard. Melody was raised in North Carolina with 2 siblings. As a child, Melody had aspirations of being a veterinarian. Never in a million years did she think she'd stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. As the years went by, Melody worked her way from a lakeside carnival to a machinery repairman in the US Navy to an AVP in the call center industry, never wavering in her resolve to become the best version of herself with each career move. Melody got into the real estate industry in 2016 when she'd finally had enough of being undervalued and underpaid in an industry and company that only takes and never gave anything back.
