Staging said 81 percent of buyers' agents surveyed found "staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home," 48 percent of sellers' agents said staging "decreased a property's time on the market" and 20 percent of both buyers' and sellers' agents said staging "increased the dollar value offered by between 1 percent and 5 percent compared to similar homes on the market not staged."
So what exactly is staging?
Home staging is the act of preparing a home for sale by arranging furniture and decor that allows potential buyers to picture themselves living in the home. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, causing it to sell more quickly and at a higher price point.
