The potential of the Internet, especially social media, for connecting with a vast number of people has grown phenomenally during recent years, which can work to your advantage if you want to use it for running your home-selling campaign. As a first step, create an online home base for your property. Use free blogging sites to upload videos, photos, and descriptions about your property and create a hub of information and communication. Listing your property on one or more FSBO listing sites and making an MLS listing can help you reach as many people as possible. Please don't forget to post your contact information on that note. Once your listing or website is live, you will have a URL that you can link to from your social media accounts. You can use Facebook and Twitter to share basic information about your home sale, including a link to the address of your home base page. On Facebook and Twitter, you can pass along news about your home sale, such as the date of an open house or information about an improvement you’ve made to the property, complete with links to your house’s webpage. After announcing your home for sale, ask your friends to like, share, and retweet the information. In this way, you can quickly reach out to as many buyers as possible, including a whole host of total strangers you might never have reached without the web of social networking.
