Creating curb appeal is not about spending money, but giving your home a fresh “makeover” to appeal to home buyers’ tastes, expectations, and dreams.
GENDER NEUTRALIZATION
In trying to sell a home, it’s important to understand that you’re working with people’s psychology. While making the home appeal to both the genders is very important, successful practices in terms of gender neutralization will help achieve a greater impact and balance. It’s all about appealing to the personal tastes of everyone and anyone. Opting for a neutral color base is important. The general rule is to start with shades of gray, beige, and white to paint the walls, as well as for countertops, flooring, and large-sized furniture. For creating depth, use deeper tones like navy blue or black. Accents with “pops” of color are desirable to strike a blow to the monotony. Go for tailored furniture in line with modern accents; instead of velvet or floral motif-patterned sofas, use a neutral fabric to match a contemporary coffee table in order to create an appealing space. Remove the trinkets on the tables and install some great- looking floor lamps and other decorative items. Use soft and easy flowing fabrics and designs for window treatments. Adding elements of nature to your bathroom can create an impressive, gender-neutral look. Objects like tree trunk stools, twisted tree branch arrangements, natural fiber rugs, and others can appeal to everyone. Wall art centered on coastal or nautical themes can be great enhancements to bathrooms.
